Our research has shown, that although many of the overweight patients we saw at our chain of healthcare clinics had tried numerous different weight-loss techniques and products in the past, most patients still did not understand the basics. Many could not tell the differences or similarities between different weight-loss programmes or products. Even worse, some could not explain a basic term like “carbohydrate”, or knew that vegetables and fruit belonged to this group.
Too much information, however, can also be a problem. Everyone knows, for example, that for health reasons, you should eat broccoli. But what if you hate broccoli? Should you torture yourself for the health benefits, or will an alternative vegetable do? Should you buy organically grown broccoli at a premium, or is normal broccoli good enough? Should you steam your broccoli, just in case the microwave destroys some of the heat-sensitive nutrients, and for how long can you do so without ruining it?
Too many facts can become rather confusing. We found that most of our clients became demoralised or distracted by contradictory marketing messages and lost focus of their main objective, namely, to lose weight.
What you need to remember: All the information that we believe that you need has been provided in this guide. Once you understand these easy and basic concepts, you will start to see the opportunities that you can use to control your weight, without feeling deprived or tortured.
