AntaGolin contains a unique blend of plant-derived phytochemical ingredients that work via multiple pathways that support blood sugar metabolism and combat insulin resistance, helping you lose weight more effectively.
AntaGolin can assist with:
AntaGolin contains a unique blend of plant-derived (phytochemical) compounds that have all been scientifically documented to help regulate blood sugar and insulin levels. These ingredients work together to slow the absorption of glucose from food, as well as support and optimise the body’s response to increased blood sugar. These are Barberry root extract, Banaba leaf extract, Apple bark extract and inositol.
Barberry root extract contains berberine, a botanical alkaloid present in a number of plants which have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for a number of conditions, including obesity and diabetes. Berberine is one of the most heavily researched plant-based compounds available, and has demonstrated the ability to slow carbohydrate digestion and absorption, improve insulin signalling, suppress fat formation and enhance energy metabolism.
Banaba leaf extract is prized in some Eastern medicine systems for its ability to alter blood sugar levels. The tree is native to India, China and the Philippines, and is valued for its violet floral displays. Its ability to reduce blood sugar, inflammation and carbohydrate absorption as well as improve insulin signaling has been proven scientifically.
Apple bark extract (Phlorodene)
Phlorodene is a proprietary formulation prepared from the bark of apple trees (Malus domestica). Besides their nutritional benefits as fruit, several substances extracted from the bark, leaves, and roots of the apple tree are also recognized for their unique medicinal qualities. Phlorizin, a phytochemical belonging to the class of polyphenols, was isolated from the bark of apple trees in 1835 and is the first known inhibitor of SGLT-2 (sodium-glucose linked co-transporter-2).
SGLT-2 is a protein that assists with glucose transport and is responsible for the reabsorption of 80-90% of the glucose filtered by the kidney. As a class of medications, the SGLT-2 inhibitors impede this process and helps block the reabsorption of glucose in the kidney. The net metabolic effect is to help lower blood sugar which assists with bodyweight reduction and optimised blood sugar control.
Traditionally, phlorizin rich apple bark has been used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes. It has also been reported to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. As a polyphenol, phlorizin also exerts cardiovascular benefits in preventing heart failure through a mechanism independent of its blood glucose-lowering effects.
Inositol is a plant-based compound similar in structure to glucose. It is present in a wide variety of foods, including beans and nuts, and is naturally synthesised in the body. Scientific research has shown it is able to block glucose absorption from the diet, as well as aid in insulin signalling.

AntaGolin can be used by anyone who is battling with excess body fat, battling to gain control of their weight or may be suffering from a degree of insulin resistance. Because of its blood sugar regulation ability, AntaGolin is ideal for pre-diabetic and type 2 diabetic subjects, especially over the long term. AntaGolin can also be used by woman suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
Adults: Starting Dose:
Take 1 AntaGolin three times a day, with meals.
Maintenance Dose:
Take 1 AntaGolin twice a day with meals
AntaGolin should not be used if you:
AntaGolin generally has a low side-effect profile even when used for extended periods. Gastrointestinal side effects, including abdominal fullness and nausea have been reported. Individuals on diabetic medication may develop low blood sugar, especially if AntaGolin is taken on an empty stomach. It is therefore recommended that AntaGolin is taken with meals.
Yes, AntaGolin may be taken with most prescription drugs, including diabetic drugs such as metformin. Caution, however, must be taken with all classes of oral anti-diabetic medication, as the blood sugar-lowering effect of AntaGolin may enhance their action and leave you with symptoms of low blood sugar. If you are on anti-diabetic medication, consult with your doctor about whether AntaGolin is right for you. Caution must also be taken when used with warfarin.
AntaGolin contains a blend of plant-derived phytochemicals that combats insulin resistance and optimises blood-sugar metabolism. This unique combination supports multiple pathways involved in the input, output and processing of sugars in the body and the optimal regulation of metabolism.
Barberry root extract (Insul-X2):
Insul-X2 is a proprietary formulation prepared from the root of the Barberry plant, Berberis vulgaris, a flowering shrub native to Europe, Asia and northwest Africa. It is widely cultivated for its edible fruits and grown as a protective hedge on farms. Its main constituent is the botanical alkaloid berberine, found in high concentrations in the bark and roots of the plant. Berberine-based plant extracts have extensively been used in Chinese traditional medicine. Some of the therapeutic applications include the treatment of diabetes especially and obesity.
As an alkaloid, berberine is structurally based on a tetra-hydroisoquinoline scaffold, a framework now recognised as a highly versatile biochemical configuration able to bind with many biological receptors. Experiments using several biological cell models primed for insulin resistance have demonstrated berberine’s ability to up-regulate insulin receptor (InsR) expression, enhance β-cell function in the pancreas and improve the insulin signalling cascade mechanism in general.
Banabá Leaf Extract:
Banabá (Lagerstroemia speciosa) is a flowering tree that naturally occurs in China, Japan and the Indian Subcontinent. Leaves of the banabá tree are therapeutically used in Eastern traditional medicine as tea in Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines to reduce elevated blood sugar levels.
Of particular interest to science is the role that the pentacyclic triterpenoids (PTs), a class of terpenes contained within Banabá leaf extract (BLE), play in the regulation of various signalling pathways involved in disease pathology. Research into the role of PTs concerning insulin resistance has indicated that these molecules exert their glucose-lowering effect through a multi-target, multi-pathway mechanism involving carbohydrate digestion, insulin signalling and modulation of energy metabolism.
The initial effects of Banabá leaf extract in sugar control take place in the intestines, where it slows carbohydrate digestion and absorption. This is related to the inhibiting effects that specific PTs have on the digestive enzymes responsible for the digestion of various sugars and starch, namely α-glucosidase and α-amylase, which delays gastric emptying by increasing the amount of undigested carbohydrate in the ileum and assists with appetite control and satiety.

Inositol:
Inositol is a natural biochemical compound naturally present in certain foods such as cantaloupes, oranges, beans and certain nuts. Inositol plays an essential role as the structural foundation for many signalling molecules involved in the metabolic and hormonal pathways involved in insulin’s optimal function. This includes the chain of biochemical events after insulin has bound to the insulin receptor on the outer cell membrane called insulin signal transduction and the subsequent transfer of chemical messages within cells.
Many disorders resulting from impaired insulin signalling are associated with inositol deficiency or abnormal inositol metabolic phenotypes. These abnormalities affect β-cell function in the pancreas and may further contribute to insulin resistance through decreased expression of the insulin receptor (InsR) and disruption of the insulin signalling pathway.
Correcting these deficiencies and restoring metabolic abnormalities associated with insulin resistance, inositol supplementation is beneficial to the treatment of a number of insulin-related pathologies such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), gestational diabetes, type II diabetes and metabolic syndrome (MetS).
Chromium:
Chromium is an essential trace element that plays a biochemical role in insulin action and subsequent carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism.
