Winter Warmer!

Yes it is getting colder and suddenly we all crave those wonderful piping hot dishes! We’re not rabbits, we don’t eat salad in winter, come on! Good news, you can indulge in a steaming hot, hands, tummy and heart warming dish. Home made soup is winter’s alternative to salad! Easy to make, nutritious and depending on the amount of salt(less is better): very slimming!

Lunch time soup recipe:
Ingredients:

Carrots - packet
Leeks  - big bunch
Cabbage -1 head
Celery -big bunch
Bay leaf -1
Onion-1
Tomatoes-2
Chicken stock-to taste (optional)
Water

Method:
Chop all ingredients, Cover with water, Bring to boil
Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are cooked

For the always on the run ladies, Pick N Pay already has a pack that is all choped up for you. All you have to do is add water and boil for 30 - 40 min. Very nice, very healthy.
